Petersham, MA Petersham, MA Part-time Part-time From $18 an hour From $18 an hour 9 days ago 9 days ago 9 days ago The Children's Services Coordinator (CSC) provides services to pregnant and parenting women in recovery from substance use disorders and their children based on their Family Service Plan (FSP).
The CSC is also responsible for assisting with creating a home setting that is supportive, trauma-informed and recovery oriented.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The CSC will process new admissions, orient parents to all available children services, policies, procedures and any questions or concerns that may arise.
The CSC will complete all necessary child assessments.
The CSC will ensure that children's immunizations are up to date unless parents provide a written statement that vaccinations or immunizations are medically contraindicated.
The CSC will ensure the delivery of social services, emergency, and non-emergency services, either directly or through referrals.
This includes a medical examination for children in accordance with recommended schedules of pediatric care and will obtain parent's consent prior to referring a child for services or consulting with service providers.
The CSC enhances supportive services by supervising and facilitating basic parenting, childcare and child development workshops to include discussion and other structured family activities.
The CSC will assist parent in ensuring school age children are registered and attending school.
Additionally, assist parents in obtaining childcare services and after school care.
The CSC provides after school programming for school age children during after school hours.
The CSC designs and provides drug and alcohol-free leisure activities that support both children and parents.
The CSC Supervise onsite parent- organized activities promoting parent/child interaction at least one hour a day when residents are with their children and encourage parents and children to participate in group social activities.
The CSC observes and interacts with children living in the program, encourages and promotes the family's achievement of self-sufficiency and ensures parents are providing care and supervision to their children.
The CSC develops and maintains Community Resources for both parent and child to include mental health, behavioral concerns, physical needs, learning disabilities, and other services required by parent and/or child.
The CSC is responsible for all related recordkeeping and reporting.
The CSC attends all regularly scheduled staff meetings and monthly in-service trainings.
The CSC adheres to applicable laws, regulations and agency policies governing the disclosure of client identifying data and confidentiality.

The CSC represent GAAMHA/FSH/Greenwich House in the community and conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the values and professional standards of the agency.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The Child Services Coordinator will have a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field, or a bachelor's degree in an unrelated field with 4 courses or 12 credits in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
A minimum of 1-2 years' experience working directly with families with children is preferred.
College experience preferred; however, a combination of college and/or experience may be substituted for the above qualifications.
The candidate must have excellent oral, written, and social skills and be able to demonstrate cultural competency.
The candidate must possess computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
The applicant must have a valid driver's license.

The Children's Services Coordinator is supervised by the FSH Program Director.

Sunday, Thursday, and Saturday Hours:
Flexible - 8 AM to 4 PM, 9 AM to 5 PM, 10 AM to 6 PM, or 11 AM to 7 PM Job Type:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
